Stephanie Loredo Appointed President of Culver City Unified School District Board of Education
Culver City, CA – Dec. 10, 2025 – Stephanie Loredo was named president of the Culver City Unified School District (CCUSD) Board of Education. She is the first Filipino American woman to hold the top leadership position on a governing board in Culver City and the broader Westside Los Angeles region. In her new role as president, Loredo will set the school district’s agenda to increase student achievement, generate monetary resources, and strengthen community relations.
Since joining the CCUSD Governing Board in 2022, Loredo has played a significant role to improve the student, staff and community experience with the school district. Her substantial contributions to the following initiatives have greatly advanced pride and stability for CCUSD:
Securing $2.5 million grant from Culver City government and strengthening district’s partnership with Culver City council and staff
Championing two successful ballot measures central to the funding and modernization of the school district
Managing search and transition of district Superintendent
Supporting programs that generate national, statewide, and local recognitions for schools, students, staff and community

Loredo is the first woman of Filipino descent on the Westside to hold a citywide office. In December 2024, she was appointed as vice president of CCUSD board of education. During the CCUSD board meeting on December 9, 2025, Loredo formally assumed the role of president.
As president, Loredo aims to continue fostering a culture of care in the Culver City school district by supporting policies and practices around academic excellence, educational equity, fiscal responsibility, environmental sustainability, and community engagement. She seeks to uphold the district’s mission of delivering safe, inclusive, high-quality public education to all students in Culver City.
